Dwayne Johnson “The Rock” shared some pictures from behind the scenes of his new action/thriller movie Skyscraper, showing him bloodied and bruised and getting ready for a stunt. Dwayne Johnson is one of Hollywood’s busiest stars, with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle premiering this December, Jungle Cruise currently in pre-production, and San Andreas 2, Black Adam, and Doc Savage all in some stage of development. The variety of his upcoming films prove what a bankable actor he has become in action, superhero and comedy films.
Skyscraper features Johnson as Will Ford, a war veteran and former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader who currently assesses security for skyscrapers. His job takes him to China, where he finds the world’s tallest and safest building on fire – with his family trapped inside. Worst of all, he has been framed for the whole thing and must find a way to rescue his family while on the run.
On his Instagram page, Johnson shared a black and white image of him alongside Skyscraper director Rawson Marshall Thurber. This is the second film the two have made, having previously worked together on Central Intelligence. In the image’s caption, Johnson praises Thurber saying that he is “A very smart, ambitious, extremely focused and methodical guy who wants to deliver a f*cking intensely breathtaking and epic film for the fans.”
There is also a video Johnson posted of him on set getting ready to perform a stunt. Both images shared show Johnson with a bloody shirt. The video also shows his hands wrapped in what appears to be duct tape, with a rope wrapped around his body. The stunt scene is being shot by director of photography Robert Elswit, who Johnson points out also worked on one of his favorite films, There Will Be Blood.
