Is John Cena to star in DC's: 'Shazam' movie?

WWE superstar John Cena is said to be one of two tentative front-runners for the adult superhero version of Billy Batson in the upcoming DCEU film 'Shazam!' 

According to rumors from 'The Hashtag Show' over the weekend, the role of Shazam, is down to John Cena and actor Joshua Sasse. 

As of now, it’s too early to tell if John Cena or Sasse will end up getting the part. But the film's director David F. Sandberg, did hint recently that official casting could be announced soon.
