PADMAVATI: Ranveer Singh visits a psychatrist after playing Alauddin Khilji?

Celebrity news: Ranveer Singh is one of the actors who literally gets into the skin of the character. Ranveer is known for his method acting and everytime the actor plays a strong character on-screen, Singh does a lot of preparation for the role. While the actor was preparing for the role of Alauddin Khilji for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, the actor went into seclusion to become the cruel Mughal ruler Alauddin.
And now the recent report claims that the character and its negativity has taken a toll on Ranveer so much that he is visiting a psychiatrist to come back to being the happy-cheerful himself. A source told DNA, “Ranveer actually has his friends worried. To play Alauddin Khilji, he has been researching and exploring extreme negativity. He is a friendly, warm young man, like all of us. To become Khilji, he took the same route as he did to play Peshwa Bajirao. He locked himself up in his apartment, prepped and stayed in the head-space for weeks."
The source further added, "Getting out of this dark, intimidating mindset wasn’t easy for him. The film has also been shot for almost a year now, so sustaining the Khilji persona was very challenging. It affected his reactions and behavior towards people. Which is why his friends advised him to get help in emerging beyond Khilji. He is going to a psychiatrist to get rid of the Khilji influences.”
While Bollywood actors are known to go the tough way to bring authenticity to film, Ranveer has taken this a notch up. Ranveer managed to convince the masses with his Peshwa Bajirao portrayal in Bajirao Mastani and we totally can expect a brilliant performance from Ranveer Singh for Padmavati.
We hope that the actor unwinds from Khilji's character soon so that we have our happy-go-lucky Ranveer back. Stay tuned for more updates.
